Truck Farm is green farming; guzzles gas anyway!
Desh | Jul 31 2009

Ian Cheney and his partner Curt Ellis are the “four-wheel farmers” who converted a 1986 Dodge Ram into a moving farm. Ingenuity describes it best, I guess. Had they applied a bit more of it in mounting this farm atop an electric version of some other vehicle, it could have been a spotless green venture.

Anyhow, providing the farm with all-needed paraphernalia, i.e. holes, cups and mats for drainage, a root barrier and erosion blanket, they left no stone unturned. The growth environment is further boosted by a thorough mixture of styrofoam, clay, organics and gel.

Check out the videos after the jump: NOW, this is what I have been craving for, barring that gas-guzzling pipe! What follows is a lyrical representation of a green and clean agricultural practice:

The recession was upon me, my health was slipping away. I decided what I needed, was more vegetables everyday.

If you want to hear it, check out the video:

And they’re selling those vegetables really cheap, at $20 for whatever grows in the wagon.
