SolarCity proposes solar charging corridor for California
Desh | Sep 23 2009

Californian green drivers won’t ever find their electric vehicles running out of juice, as SolarCity, the installer of residential solar systems, and Holland’s Rabobank have pulled their socks up to build a charging corridor between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Five 240-volt stations along the track i.e. Highway 101, will be three times faster than other charging stations. If, until now, you were having reservations regarding the use of EVs, the proposed development should settle it.

As of now, SolarCity is seeking Rabobank’s assistance to install additional solar arrays, which would constitute the first all-solar-powered EV charging corridor. For the moment, the Santa Maria charging station is having this facility.
