Inka Biospheric Systems introduces a vertical micro-farm called Inka Curve. The minifarm has a vertical bio-quilt that provides nutrition to herbs, grasses, fruits and vegetables. It’s further supplemented with a fish tank. The fish tank and the vertical farm are both powered with wind turbines and solar panels for cleaning and aerating the former and pumping water to the latter.
The Inka Curve has bacteria present in the bioquilt that not only break down the nutrients but also play a major role in the purification of water. ‘Major’ since no soil is used and vegetation production is largely dependent upon the water-purification and the nutrients provided by the fish poop.
