One of my earlier posts details what Infrared Thermography stands for and how IRT Surveys provides online record of household emissions and the heat loss. Now here, I wish to present a wider picture. IRT Surveys reports that the Houses of Parliament’s heat loss goes on to cost the taxpayers a whopping £7,191 a year. The report is a revelation for the UK environmentalists who might be alarmed to see Manchester Piccadilly losing £18,217 for improper insulation, lack of cooling solutions and higher CO2 emissions. Researchers also did thermal imaging of Buckingham Palace, Reichstag and the Scottish Parliament. They reckoned that these buildings cost £1,038, £599.25 and £463.40 a year respectively. However, it’s not that distressing at all since the Welsh Assembly proves it to be the most well-insulated building with £95.98 heat seepage annually. Anyhow, it’s high time for the world leaders to think seriously about the global warming and suggest some concrete methods to check this heat leaching.
