Cinemar announces the release of its AIO-Touch series in-wall touch panel PC’s, that’s supposed to add a new, modish dimension to your sitting room décor. While invigorating your lifestyle, this techno-advancement easily controls lighting, thermostats, security, irrigation, music and movies. The device is based on the Intel Atom Processor and has Windows XP embedded. It also comes with 1GB Ram, 300k Pixel CMOS camera, 2 speakers, resistive touchscreen, Bluetooth and an ambient light sensor. This fanless PC also touts 8.4″, 12.1″ and 15″ screen sizes. As the Cinemar CEO, Mario Cascio, puts it:
We were looking to offer an affordable in-wall touch panel that wasn’t an energy hog. The AIO-Touch 8.4″ only uses a maximum of 25 watts. So not only can the touch panel be helpful in controlling your energy costs through our energy management software, but it’s using very little energy to contribute to the problem.
I would say it’s an interesting move considering our mundane energy requirements and sans any second thought, it’s a seemingly affordable solution as well.
